The #1 Reason to Attend CMConnect Conference

2020-07-06T21:48:44-07:00

I just got back from another amazing week at the CMConnect Conference. This is my third year in a row being a part of this unique kid's ministry conference. Last year I wrote about my top 3 reasons to attend CMConnect Conference. Why do I keep going back year after year? It's not because it is the biggest conference. It's not because they put on the best "show" in their main sessions. It's not because it is held in the best vacation spot. The #1 reason I attend the CMConnect Conference every year is because of the people. Now, I don't mean [...]

The Next Chapter for KidMinCorinne

2020-07-06T21:48:53-07:00

God has been speaking to me about some new dreams and goals this year (cue The Greatest Showman soundtrack). As a result, these new things are shifting my life and ministry into a new chapter, and I wanted to share it with all of you. Almost two years ago, God put a new dream in my heart. I felt like I was being led towards writing my own curriculum. The funny thing is, I had just told Lauren, my assistant at the time, that I would NEVER write my own curriculum. Never say never to God! I was a little scared, overwhelmed, not [...]

Feed Them! 7 Volunteer Food Ideas

2020-07-06T21:49:42-07:00

I am a huge foodie! I LOVE TO EAT! In fact, I'm reasonably certain that they missed a sixth love language: Food. Food is my love language! I love to be fed and to feed others. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one out there. I have found that volunteers tend to show up more often and are definitely motivated by food. I am a strong believer that there should be good food at all meetings, parties, events, services, small groups, or any other time you get people together. With that being said, here are some different ways I use [...]

Easter Slime Object Lesson

2020-07-06T21:49:54-07:00

Last year I decided to incorporate making slime into our Good Friday and Easter Sunday services. The kids were so into making slime at the time that I knew it would hold their attention while teaching them a story many of them had heard a few times. I am shocked that kids are still so into making slime this year. I thought I would share what we did last year in our services for anyone looking for a fresh way to share the Easter story with their kids.   Good Friday Message (Black and Red Slime) When God created humans they [...]

2017 is almost over. Can you believe it? That means it's time to start planning for 2018. In the past few years, there have been years that I have been intentional about setting goals and other years I have forgotten to set goals entirely. I have definitely seen a difference between the two. Now, I'm not saying that I have met all of my goals the years I did set them, but it did help me focus on what I really wanted to accomplish. Unless we are intentional about our goals, we may find ourselves at the end of 2018 wondering [...]
